Hi! My name is Amanda. Welcome to Allstarr Aquatics! A bit about my back ground: I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years and was competing at a national level when I retired. After my swim career ended I became a Lifeguard and Instructor and have been actively involved in the swimming and water safety community for 20+ years. I have taught lessons to every age group, parented through adults as well as advanced leadership. I am a huge proponent for building a strong foundational base of skills, ensuring that you are taught proper techniques in order to produce the most efficient strokes possible. Regardless of age the need for swimming skills is both a fundamental life skill as well as a fitness skill for life. So good for you for taking the first step to learning how to swim!
